Your Cloud Partner, Powered by Passion!
Based where the Northern Lights dance above the rugged Norwegian coast, the Vikings called Nordrvegr, or "The Way North", we blend European cloud experience with a startup's agility. This means we can craft flexible and custom solutions, no hidden fees, no AI, just genuine passion. Whether you're launching a passion project or scaling your digital empire, we've got the tools and passions to help you out!
Cornerstones
Quality
Chymir strives to make all of its products and services real competitors in the field, from the multi-tiered backups in mountain halls and nuclear shelters of our web service to the ease of use of our game servers. We solve your IT problems in the best way we can!
Privacy
Chymir takes privacy seriously and does not collect any information about our customers other than the data we ask for during registration. No automated tooling. We store this data in secure mountain halls in Norway, and we use it only to provide services to you.
Passion
Chymir was started from passion. We put our hearts and souls into our products and services. 1.5% of all purchases go to climate, and we plant trees with every order and renewal, and adopt animals with our profits. We are not here just for money!
Personal
Chymir began with a few independent makers who needed a home online, and that spirit still guides us. Today we're here for everyone: people, companies, non-profits, and anyone in between. Whoever you are, you're more than a customer; you're part of our Pride!
Transparency
Chymir believes you should never have to guess. We speak plainly about what you get, what it costs and where your data lives; we name the partners we build on; and when something goes wrong, we tell you what happened. Plain words, no spin!
Predictability
Chymir wants your bill to be the most boring thing we send you. We work hard not to raise prices, and most years we don't: your price stays exactly as it is. When our once-a-year cost formula does call for a change, which is rare, you get 60 days' notice and an explanation. No surprises!

Web Hotel

Chymir "Den"
Starts at €3.66 per month
Our web hosting covers everything you need to get online: domains, PHP, Node.js, MySQL, Postgres, or Redis databases, with certificates that renew automatically. We back up your site every 12 hours to a mountain hall in Norway, and we also send a copy to a nuclear fallout shelter in France, where it's kept for a full year. Every plan comes with WordPress pre-installed, and the Divi page builder is included, but activated manually by our support. If you'd rather not handle maintenance yourself, our Managed WordPress add-on takes it all over to our technicians and includes SEO and multilingual plugins.
Game Servers
aka
Chymir "Play"
Starts at €2.78 per month
Our game servers let you match the machine to the game. Choose from three tiers of AMD Ryzen hardware, from a budget option up to the latest X3D chips. Choose how much RAM you need, pay per gigabyte with no rounded-up plans, and add disk space as you grow. Backups are sent to a nuclear fallout shelter in France, where each copy is stored for a month on active storage, then moved to tape for eleven months before deletion. We play on these servers ourselves; your world should outlast most things!

Driven by purpose
I already decided before I started the company that we wanted to stand for something bigger than ourselves, something that isn't just profit. We strongly believe that actions speak louder than words, which is why we act first and talk second. Giving back to our climate, our forests, and our wildlife isn't an afterthought to offset our carbon footprint; it is planned from the very beginning.
Partners and providers
Chymir is built on technologies from some of these companies. We chose some because we share their values, and others for their infrastructure and domains. After all, they provide the infrastructure and domains we run on. Many have cheered us on along the way.
