Like you, Chymir AS does not enjoy reading or writing vague wall of text policy documents, this is why we have a dedicated page for our policies and philosophies, so that you can read them in real human words, written by our owner. You can still find our legal jargon attached, but here is a short no legal jargon what we do and do not do.

Chymir AS has a very strict AI policy, which prohibit our employees from using AI tools in the creation of our creative processes. This means that any art and text you see on this page or in our marketing journeys is written or drawn by hand. When we need graphical artworks, we have two shareholders that are also artists, and we also commission independent artists in the communities we operate in for our graphics. Our writers also write the content by hand, but since several of the owners have dyselexia, including the owner, we use grammar assist tools to help catch most of the typos and terrible flow of sentence. AI is reserved only for usecases where human intervention is impossible or time consuming, like anomaly detection of logs from our webservers, to help us respond to attacks.

Chymir AS is not interested in our customers data, and we only collect absolutely neccesary data during our registration process. The data you provide us, is the only data we have. We only use this data to provide you with our services, and we store this data in a former NATO high-security bunkers deep underground in the Norwegian mountains. Additionally, we employ a SSO mindset, that means your username and password, email etc is only stored in our billing panel. When you buy a game server or web hosting service, we generate a random jargon username and password completely unrelated to your user data that is tied to the login process. When you use a service of Chymir AS that is located outside of Norway, the username and password for this is that jargon, your data does not leave our mountain vault. We do not share this data with anyone, with an exception where it is strictly required to fullfill our service obligation to you, like with Stripe to handle process your payment.

Chymir AS uses Plausible for our website analytics. This is an Estonia-based platform that is fully GDPR backed. We do not use any fingerprinting techniques, cookies or otherwise in our analytics. We do not know who you are when you visit our website. We know which website refered you to us, and we know which pages you visited in that timeframe, but we do not store unique users. If you visit again tomorrow, you show up as a completely new user, and none in our team or providers can identify you. We do not want to use any tooling or platforms that could jeopardize our visitors privacy, because we actually care about you, whomever you may be.
